Kansa Vatki (KV) Foot Massage

Kansa Vatki (KV) Foot Massageā„¢ with marma therapy (Indian acupressure) is an ancient Ayurvedic therapy which balances the body, mind and spirit. This unique treatment, steeped in centuries of ceremony, involves the use of oils (most often coconut oil) or clarified butter (ghee). The massage is deeply revitalizing for tired feet and legs and, as the feet contain key energy and nerve endings relating to internal organs, a Kansa Vatki treatment also helps to rebalance the doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha energies).

foot massageThe full treatment takes just under an hour and begins by cleansing the feet and follows with relaxing foot and leg massage moves. Slowly and methodically the toes, feet, ankles and calves are helped to relax. The treatment continues with special moves performed with the 3-metal Kansa Vatki bowl which is said to have healing properties. This is followed by a rebalancing sequence of marma massage (Indian acupressure).

All this special attention helps to detoxify and balance the body’s energies leaving you feeling refreshed and relaxed. This treatment is highly beneficial and particularly for those who spend long hours on their feet.

The treatment can also be adapted to be a shorter session and also works well with Indian head Massage, Facial Rejuvenation or back, neck and shoulders massage.
